Sporting Life

The Atwell community has a strong connection to sport and this is reflected in the activities of the College.

Along with the regular curricular sports programming, a number of training squads are active at other school times in preparation for representation of the College in inter-school AFL, Rugby, Soccer, Cricket, Basketball, Netball and Volleyball.

Other sporting opportunities are available for access through the Outdoor Education program which involves exposure to areas such as snorkelling, hiking, canoeing, sailing and caving.

The Atwell College students also engage in community sporting support with the hosting and officiating of the annual Jandakot Primary Schools Summer Sports Carnival. This involves Year 5 and 6 students from visiting Atwell, Harmony, Jandakot, Success and Aubin Grove Primary Schools travelling to Atwell College to participate in a number of team sports.
