Rugby League Program (RLP)

Atwell College is one of Western Australia's leading Rugby League schools. The school-based Rugby League Program is an elite sporting programme developed by Atwell College in conjunction with the NRL WA. The program helps engage students at school and also provides outstanding opportunities to develop specific skills, knowledge and experiences. These include game skills, fitness and theory sessions aimed at developing the knowledge of the game (history, rules etc) and becoming a professional athlete (nutrition, refereeing, coaching etc).

Our Program includes:

  • 4 periods of RLP per week (skill development, conditioning and theory lessons)
  • Coaching from NRL WA coaches and professionals.
  • Compete in Year 7 to 10 regular competitions (NRL sanctioned) and individual interschool matches.
  • Development to compete in Open year 11 and 12 carnivals and competitions.
  • Opportunities to coach and referee at primary school events.

This course has a compulsory charge associated with the program. Please refer to the Charges & Contributions and Personal items list for your students year group
